Mrs. Pope's Birthday

On Wednesday we celebrated Mrs. Pope's birthday and surprised here with some artistic cards that the kids made. We had cookies at our lovely party for her.

Doughnuts

We made doughnuts for the letter "d" last week. Boy, were they delicious! The kids were also excited about watching their own doughnut change shape and color. They were so excited!

Dress up!

If the is one thing that we love in room 5, it is dress up! Mrs. Pope has so many wonderful, beautiful clothes to dress up and play pretend.

Graphing

In Math we have been working on graphing. We graphed the color of our eyes and compared our eyes with our classmates.

We also graphed which cookie was our favorite. I have a suspicion the kids liked this one a little better :)

Clowns and Cats

Last week in art class we made clowns, which went perfectly with learning the letter "c."

We also created "cool cats" in our room!

Blueberry Pancakes

Since we were learning the letter B this week, we decided to cook Blueberry pancakes. The kids had so much fun. They were great chefs!

Week 3

 This past week we learned all about the letter "A." We talked about things that started with "a" - ants, accordions, astronauts, apples, etc.

 It was also Calvin's 5th birthday! Thank for the delicious cookies and milk!

 Since we were studying ants, we made ants on a log!

 We continued to have so much fun creating art with tape!

 Friday we had a special indoor recess. We got to use play dough and make bracelets and necklaces.

Artists, Secret Agents, and Musicians

 In art class, we created abstract art. Who knew we had so many artists in the room?

 I realized that our children have a strange obsession with colored tape. ha. They got very creative with it. We had a lot of fun coloring pictures and creating with new water color paints.
