First Full Week

The first week went really well in room 5. Just like the first day, some children didn't want mom and dad to leave, but after they left, they were fine! Every morning we have puzzle center time when they come in. Next, we have meeting time and free center time where we play dress up, babies, build things, and read books. We also had two birthday's this week - Alec and Tiernan. We love having birthday parties were we can all celebrate! Thank you Alec and Tiernan for the delicious birthday treats! We also created name tags with foam letters this week. More to come soon!

First Day Jitters

Today was our first day of Preschool! Some of us were very weary of leaving Mom and Dad this morning, but after everyone was settled in, it was a great day! In the morning we built puzzles, had play time, snacks, recess and read "The Night Before Preschool." All the kids could relate to the character in the book. In the afternoon, we had lunch, recess, nap time (which most kids NEEDED) , math, and some free time. We ended the day with what each child's favorite part of the day was. Many liked playing with the new toys and new friends. It was a great day. We're looking forward to meeting the rest of the class tomorrow.
