The Friday before Christmas we had a Polar Express Party. We dressed in our PJs, ate cookies, and drank hot chocolate. I gave the kids "tickets" to the Polar Express and we watched the movie. The kids loved it.
We also got jingle bells after we read the story. We believe!
It was also Jillian's birthday. Thanks for the cupcakes, Jillian!
Heading up to watch the movie.

Christmas Party!
We had our Christmas Program before our party. We made elf hats for all the kids. We sang songs for the parents. It was really sweet.

Snow Day!
The week before Christmas we had snow! The kids put on their hats, gloves, jackets, and boots. They ran around in the frigid snow. Mr. Yozzo brought a couple sleds to play with. The kids had a ball!

December Happenings
We have been very busy in Room 5 this month. We've painted Christmas trees, wrapped presents, and made stockings. Sometimes, we find little presents in our stockings :)
Wrapping gifts for mom and dad.
Playing their whistles that they got in their stockings.

St. Nick's Day
On St. Nick's Day, we left our shoes out in the hall and St. Nick came and filled them with candy and clementines! The kids were so excited!
Thankful Turkeys
The kids painted and told me what they were thankful for. They came up with some very unique things. It was so sweet! Eamon was thankful for noodles, Lydia was thankful for flowers, Aiden was thankful for his bunny, and of course they were thankful for their families :)
November Happenings
We tried different flavors of Kool-Aid for the letter "K." The kids loved it, of course!

The Gingerbread Man
This past week we've been reading and talking a lot about the Gingerbread Man. We read and retold the story many times and have a poem about it too. On Thursday we made gingerbread cookies. They were delicious! The whole school smelled like gingerbread!
